HOW IT WORKS

Every person has a different body, goals, health behaviors and habits, motivators, and relationships with food and their environment. I have created tailored nutritional guidance for each individual taking into account all of these lifestyle factors to strengthen relationships with body and self, its functions, and the powers of food as fuel.

My goal is for you to be a happy, healthy, and strong person so you can be a highly functioning member of society for yourself, and for those around you. Free yourself from rules that prevent you from being you, and gain a sense of freedom and confidence by fueling your body!

This is not a diet program. This is not intended to “shrink” your body. My process is to provide you with a lifelong education in building and sustaining healthy nutritional habits that all start with restoring your individual energy balance.

In this process, you may experience: improved body image, self-esteem, self-confidence, self-acceptance & inner peace, changes in body composition, improved performance metrics (for those participating in exercise training), better relationships w/ food, sense of empowerment….

After an initial consultation to collect objective nutritional data and subjective self-report psychometric data, we can begin crafting our plan for working together!

My first goal is always to achieve energy balance relative to goals. If you are under- or over-nourished, your body and mind will not function properly to meet your goals. Next, we slowly and skillfully start working toward mind-body and/or performance goals by incorporating elements of our environment, habits, and relationships with food. We discuss movement and physical activity in relation to health and performance and how to adjust nutrition to incorporate and integrate these two components of health. 

8 WEEK PROGRAM

I recommend a total of 8 sessions, spaced out over 8-10 weeks.

It often takes several weeks (sometimes months!) to even restore energy balance so this time frame will help you obtain measurable results.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM THE 8-WEEK PROGRAM:

WEEK 1: 60- minute informative intake process, body composition analysis, surveys to assess eating awareness, and set up for nutrient and energy balance analysis, complete meal plan broken down into macronutrients for the day including meal-to-meal and with sample menus.

WEEKS 2-7: Weekly 45-minute meetings that address ongoing nutrition and energy balance habits, goal setting with client education

WEEK 8: 60-minute re-assessment, body composition analysis, nutrient and energy balance analysis relative to goals and comparison from initial session. Complete comparative report on all metrics relative to initial session.
